Everyone is always asking about comparisons between eggs -- Marans eggs, Wellie eggs, bantam eggs, whatever.

I got some beautiful Marans eggs in the mail today, so I took some pics to compare them with other eggs I've got. Here ya go!

From left to right, they are: bantam araucana eggs, Welsummer eggs, bantam cochin eggs, wheaten Marans eggs.

In the interests of full disclosure I will stipulate that I had to lighten the exposure on the pic. It's dark and rainy outside today, and I don't have a good white light inside the house.

I just love the variety in colors, lovely. Now I know exactly how badly I want a marans!!

araucana -- 36-44 g
cochin -- 30-34 g
Wellie -- 60-62 g
Marans-- 54-80 g
