Everyone is always asking about comparisons between eggs -- Marans eggs, Wellie eggs, bantam eggs, whatever.

I got some beautiful Marans eggs in the mail today, so I took some pics to compare them with other eggs I've got. Here ya go!

From left to right, they are: bantam araucana eggs, Welsummer eggs, bantam cochin eggs, wheaten Marans eggs.

In the interests of full disclosure I will stipulate that I had to lighten the exposure on the pic. It's dark and rainy outside today, and I don't have a good white light inside the house.

    Thanks!

I also weighed the eggs, just because I'm a curious person.

    I got --

    araucana -- 36-44 g
    cochin -- 30-34 g
    Wellie -- 60-62 g
    Marans-- 54-80 g

    Interesting!

Beautiful. Very exciting. Good luck with your hatching. You didn't say what they are. Are they Wheaties? [IMG]
