I'm a fairly new chicken owner. I'm currently giving my hens (3 years old) Corid in their water. Can I consume the eggs? If not, how long should I wait? Thanks in advance for your advice!

The only symptom is diarrhea with the grown hens. I have 10 new baby chicks. 2 have cocidosious. Labored breathing, lethargy, not eating or drinking much. They have been separated from the others. I was told to treat them all because they have been together. I'm not sure why I would need to treat the grown hens as they are in a different coop. But as I said, I'm new at this. Especially sick ones.

Where were the ones that were sick? That is, are you brooding outdoors and they are expired to the soil? How far are they from the adults?

The eggs are good, I just want to make sure you aren't treating them unnecessarily.

I am keeping them in a large plastic tub. (It's well ventilated). I moved The sick ones indoors today. The other babies are in a separate tub outside. The grown hens are in their yard behind the house. But they do roam and have been near the sick ones. Thank you for all of your help!

So, have the babies been on your soil, and have they had actual physically contact with the hens, or have the hens been anywhere that the chicks could have pooped? Also, where did you get the chicks?

Yes, one has been in the coop and I'm sure it pooped in there. No physical contact with the grown ones though. I just checked on my patients and discovered the youngest didn't make it.
