We've been keeping track of the number of eggs laid. Mostly for fun, but DS thinks it's a hoot. He like to figure the price per egg with coop and food. ANYWAY.... we HAD been keeping track on a chalkboard in the laundry room.
THe problem was, you'd forget. By the time you'd go out to the egghouse, come in wash and put the egg on the smelter, you'd be doing something else before you'd wander into the laundry. Fast forward to my idea......
Hanging above the NEST BOX in the coop, I now have a hand counter. The kind they use at doorways for events, or coaches use to count laps. No batteries, nada. Grab an egg, click. Walk away. ! Local sport store for $5!!!! Also on amazon!
