Hi have 4 FBCM 3 RIR all laying. Occasionally I find a big wet spot in nesting box no shell. Could I have an egg eater, or possibly shell less egg. The FBCM are just over a year old, RIR are about 8 mos. thanks

Feeding blue seal layer pellets from a bucket feeder in run and in coop a bin feeder with ouster shell free choice.

Yep. Whether it was a soft/thin shell(most likely and broken eggs are fair game) or you have a serious egg eater remains to be witnessed. Can be hard to catch them in the act, which is the only real way to tell, gotta get a look at the shell. Check nests as frequently as possible to figure it out.

Are they using the oyster shell?
Some birds may need a bit more calcium, but don't understand to eat it.
Are you feeding any another 'treats'?
What is the protein percentage of you layer feed?
Good shells are about more than just calcium,
they also need the essential vitamins/ minerals/amino acids to use that calcium.
If only one bird in a flock is laying wonky shells, it could be the bird and not the diet.
