egg is stuck inside skin and is hanging on the hens bottom

Her vent I guess is a bit narrower with the stitches, so maybe that's why it collects around her butt, and pooping may be a bit uncomfortable. But the poop you took a picture of looks like it is a normal size ,a decent dollop, so that is what is most important.

I just had to go out and visit my girls one last time before they bed down for the night. I had to pick up each one and see if they would cuddle me like Rosey. Shockingly, one of my LEGHORNS was receptive to the cuddles! The others just wanted to jump on me for treats and inspect my face, and my shirt, and my shoes, and my mosquito bites ... silly chickies.

You're doing great with Rosey.

Rosey loves you! But really, soaking the poo off takes time. It will soak off with just water, but it takes sometimes a good 15-30 minutes. Which, when you're standing there with the chicken in the water, seems like 50-100 forevers. Don't really need to hit it with a strong spray, just need to keep it wet so it will soak good. She looks great though! You're doing really good!

Rosey looks very good in the pics. Cannot tell her back end has taken such trauma when looking at her front on in the box there. Poop looks good and if she is struggling to go it might be a good idea to use Preparation H to keep the swelling down. Ask the Vet first, but I think vasoconstrictors might help her have less pain ans swelling.

Good luck.

yes i just got home from church, went to sit with her a few minutes. she ate the starter and crackers like crazy. drank really well. she walked around,i olive oiled her up, preperation h'd her up, puit her in her box and she got on her roost. so i told her good night. thanks you all very much. i wipe her bottom from time to time but i think i will wait and ask the vet do i need to keep doing that. just to be safe since she did have that surgery.
