Hi everyone!
New here, and new to chicken keeping in general. I suspect I'll be here a lot!
My hubs and I got some chicks to start our backyard flock (3 Ameraucanas, 2 Golden Wyandotte's, and 1 Red Sexlink). Everything has been going smoothly so far - yay! They are almost 3 weeks and we love these little ladies already!
My biggest question -that I'm sure y'all hear often is-- When will my chicks be old enough to lay eggs?? I know it varies from hen to hen but a ballpark would be awesome - especially if you know a thing or two about the breeds that we've chosen! Any info will be much appreciated! TIA!

Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
