I have a 4 year old male india blue, he has just started to holler but has been showing off off and on for about 3 weeks now, so this morning he is doing his thang with the white female who is 2 to 3 years old.....if she is old enough to lay an egg, how long till she does??

Well, That's the bad thing about peahens they don't lay every day like chickens

Peahens will start to lay at the age of 2 yrs just because the male is doing his thing

breeding season really don't get going good until April or May, so you may or may not get eggs in between now and then.

Being in such a temperate climate your birds should start breeding a little early. Best to get those boxes built ASAP...

We have been raising peafowl for a long time, I spent a lot of time to build nest boxes for them and they never used it. Now we just let them lay were they want to which is what they doing in the first place. We live in southern Oklahoma on the Texas border we are getting some eggs now but on of them are fertile yet. Usually late March or mid April for fertile eggs for us.
