Egg laying questions

Also, if she lays white, I'm not really that disappointed. I just hate being deceived. I've learned a lot since buying these chicks, and I'll be trying to apply that for future chicks

Leghorn and delaware chicks are identical so don't feel that they got one over on you. You ended up with a superior layer. The ameraucana is another issue that I wish we could figure out a solution to.

Don't know breed, but she has a white ear, therefore think you can expect white eggs.

Hi,I have a question,
I have six hens and I believe only one is laying,I am inly getting bout an egg or two a day and they skip days too.is this normal?also I collect the one egg in the afternoon since one of my hens are laying in the morning.Am I hurting the egg production buy doin this?is all of this normal?sry for all the questions first time hen owner..

yea, I understand that! My cochins are the same age as the ones laying (6mos) and they haven't started. Then I have 4mo 3wk old girls I'm waiting on. Hopefully they'll start laying soon.
