Egg prices WILL rise again

Haven't been anywhere in a few days (recovering from knee surgery) but last time I was out Gas was $3.28 Milk $4.05+, Eggs...No Idea haven't bought 'em in ages.
I'd like to know where to find how to make the yogurt and cheeses and such. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

But I have corn planted (approx 6in. high now) tomatoes, peppers, beans, peas, squash, lettuce and as soon as I can a second planting of everthing and melons.

Yogurt and cheese and buttermilk and lots of other things too.

Egg prices at the store yesterday were, $1.69 for large, $1.79 a dozen for extra large, and the jumbo's were $1.98.
18 packs of large were $2.98.
These were just the regular eggs, nothing special.
2% Milk is $3.28 gallon.
house brand Butter was $2.19 lb., down from $2.69 a couple weeks ago.
I'm in Idaho.

i guess anything that requires milk of eggs, the price is going to sky rocket. It's getting really sad.

The 3 main grains in the world are corn, rice & wheat.

The price of all 3 on the world market has more than doubled in the past year.

I'm glad my stock portfolio is heavily invested in grain futures.

For over a year now I do not just run to town if I want something.

I go on Saturdays with Hubby to the town thats 15 miles from home and MAYBE once a week I go to the town in the other direction by my self thats only 7 miles from home.

I think its sad in this day that we have to limit ourselves as to travel and food. I mean I am glad for my garden and chickens to give me eggs, but what about those that are too suburbanized and urbanized that they have to suffer.

Heck, I am even looking to relocate in a year to North Carolina and buy a small farm to provide what I need instead of buying my basics at the grocery store. I don't grow everything (not enough room) and I don't mind helping out the farming industry by buying produce, but the stores will take you for a ride now and the farmers get little of it.
