Egg prices WILL rise again

well are you people ready to pay $7 a gal for your gas.because thats where its heading.an the cost of food will go up because of the hauling.an other things assoc with growing an producing it.the gov can set floor an ceiling prices for gas food an other products.but the bottomline is they wont do it.pretty soon we will be buying food from foreign countries.because they can produce it cheaper.

The government is the biggest to blame for the cost of fuel. Here are the steps they could and should do to reduce the cost of fuel:

1. Remove all taxes on fuel.
2. Remove all taxes on fuel production.
3. Deregulate refinery processes.
4. Mandate that only one type of gasoline is to be sold nationwide, and one type of diesel. Not the multiple blends now.
5. Allow new refineries to be built.
6. Allow oil to be drilled wherever it is, as long as personal property rights are not violated. Allow drilling in national parks, reserves, off all coastlines, wherever it is to be found. (Of course steps should be taken to minimize environmental impact wherever oil is drilled or transported).
7. Allow more nuclear power plants to be built to provide cheaper electricity, which will ease some of the burden on coal production and transportation, which uses up a lot of oil products currently.
8. Quit mandating and/or subsidizing ethanol production. It is a bad fuel, takes fuel to grow it, isn't economical, and drives up the prices of food crops beyond what they can handle.
9. Rip out all toll booths on highways. All that stopping and starting costs a lot of money in fuel over the course of a day. Not to mention brake linings.
10. Go to the Fair Tax so that companies never pay any taxes at all. That would include oil companies and farms, as well as all other companies.

OK, I realize number 7 and 8 may not have any immediate effect on petroleum fuel prices, but the rest do, and 7 and 8 will help bring down food costs and factory production costs. But all 10 steps together would give our economy the biggest kick in the pants it has had in years. Our economy would dominate that of the rest of the world, and since we are the best country on earth, that is as it should be.
