Egg Production & Chicken Stress in shared coop?

Hi,
I have 2 breeds of chicken and planning on relocating both groups.
I also have a (semi) old shed what I would like to use for both.
To spare a dime and penny, I would like to divide the night coop with just chicken wire in between both.

question: will this result in "stress" and rooster territory behavior issues or is this just a matter of getting used to it? When free roaming both roosters will once in awhile go after each other, but this has happened only 3x in 2 years.

Also, could this also be an issue if the chicken pens would be attached to each other and just seperated with chicken wire? I want to to keep my egg production on par and fertility rate included...

Please advice and thnx in advance!

The roosters may grab each other through the wire and attempt to fight if they feel they are in too close a proximity to each other. Would you be able to build a low wall (maybe double the height of your roosters) then put wire above that? That should also focus your roos attention on their hens rather than on each other.

Yeah, was the original plan, but try to save a buck. I also was thinking about chicken wire covered with a shadow netting for the coop itself.
What about the pens? you think they also would try to fight? The pens are 165 square feet for 7 chix and 1 rooster...

What is "shadow netting"?
If they can see each other and are fighting,
a solid wall will likely be necessary, both in coop and pens.

Any move or change in housing can effect production.
Chickens don't like change.
