egg production

    Has anyone else in Ca. had their egg production drop since the fires started? The smoke is so bad here I can't see the closest coop at times. I hope it doesn't cause any real problems with the chickens.

    I don't live there in CA, but read your post and think that this is very interesting. Is it hot there also? I know they will drop of in laying when it heats up outside.

    I don't think it is the heat. Fires are all around us and the smoke looks like fog. The wife is staying at work just so she can breath. They even had to cancell the big 100 mile race because of the fires. This is an international race. But the chickens have sloooowed down.
