Egg question.

If I bought hatching eggs from ebay, what do I do with the extras? My incubator only holds 7 eggs.
Should I refrigerate them?

Are these your first eggs or do you have a broody hen you can put them under? Silkies especially good moms.

yeah you cud let a broody sit on them.....or you cud eat them..if you don't mind eating fertile eggs lol

Fertile eggs won't look/taste any different if you take them early enough or refrigerate them. You can also get another incubator, of course

I wouldn't refrigerate them IF you're thinking of setting them later. After 7-10 days of being laid, fertile eggs can become less fertile as time goes on. It's much more rare to get a viable chick from 3 week old eggs...I have done it. Setting them when they're fresher will give you a better chance of getting chicks.

Do you have one of the dome type incubator's? If so I'm guessing there's no room to stack them on top?
