Egg scale, anyone?

I have a few of them I've gotten at auctions. I think I paid around $10-15 for them and that was long before I had chickens!

OOOOOH! I want one of those chicken egg scales so bad becuase I LOVE old-timey things!
But I could NOT believe how much they cost....new or otherwise.
I decided, during a rare moment of restraint, to use my digital kitchen scale instead.

Okay, this is just mean, since it's not for sale, but when else would I get to show off my old Purina advertising scale?

It's actually a Jiffy Way scale specially done for Purina marketing way back when. We owned a little feed store a number of years back and acquired several vintage promo items during that time. The little scale is fun and actually quite accurate. For practical reason, I just use my digital kitchen scale for weighing eggs since it will do 1 or a dozen, but have checked the old Jiffy scale against the digital, and the Jiffy is right on.

You are mightier than me!! Three coops later, I am still trying to grasp the basic meaning of the word restraint
