I'm sure mrs Lobo is a charming, intelligent woman, but she's dead in the water about this.
The shape of the egg has no bearing on the gender.
Don't you think that if eggs could be sexed, hatcheries would hatch out almost exclusively high selling females?

I'd say more of a fairy tale. The hatcheries would already be on to it if it were true.

I ran across this link to an interesting old book. This lady had good results sexing eggs based on the centrality of the air sac. She promotes culling all non-optimal eggs based on size, shape, air cell location, and other criteria. Very interesting read and free.
