Egg size fluctuation

Okay.... we have a 5 month old Black sex link. She laid a little soft shelled egg on june 28, then a small hard shelled 3 days later, then a large egg yesterday, and today laid a little one.

So, her fourth egg was back to being small, normal, but really small. And I know it's her, there's no question on that. Is the egg size fluctuation normal at this point? Was the large egg a fluke, or are the small eggs a fluke?

She is only just getting her system up and running - it's going to take a bit for all the kinks to get worked out. Also, even in mature laying hens you will see the occasional "blip" in the system in the quality, size, etc of the egg that comes down the pipe on any given day.

Do you think that humidity can alter egg size? It was so humid here yesterday! It's summer time, will the heat affect the egg size as well?
