I have two olive eggers and three Americana that started laying in mid-late August. Their eggs have gotten a little bigger than the first few they laid but are still on the smaller size. They weigh about 20-30 grams less than our barred rocks girls which I would say lay large- extra large eggs. Will they always be this small or is it because they are still new to laying and figuring it out?

They will get bigger, but probably won’t ever be quite as big as the barred rocks.

They may just be “figuring it out” still as you say but my Barred Rocks have always lid the largest eggs of any breed I’ve ever had.
