Hello,

My comets just startied laying eggs, but they are small to medium in size. I'm wondering if there is anything can be done get larger eggs? Or will they eventually lay larger eggs as they get older?

Thanks

roberto

Some/ most pullets lay very small eggs at first. Then get bigger as the laying cycle progresses.
And some will have a huge egg before they level out with reg large eggs or the size eggs your hen is supposed to lay.

I have Golden Comet type hens that are almost a year old. They were laying medium to large eggs until this Spring. Now they lay some monsters. I would have thought some of them were double yolkers, but they're not.

So to answer your question, the only thing to do is wait. You're patience will be rewarded.
