Egg song but no eggs - what gives?

Capt Morgan, my BO roo sings the egg song to his girls everyday, almost like he's telling them to lay an egg. Sing Crow Sing Crow Sing Crow all day long

Our three girls sing every morning but don't lay until afternoon. It gets so loud sometimes that my husband swears one of them must be a rooster. NOT!! Silly man!!

And..what about the constant running in and out of the coop like they don't know if it is time to lay an egg or maybe it can wait until after they eat. Or ... no I have to lay the egg first. Or ....wait I'm hungry. BAWK...What am I supposed to do first???

I'm getting the same thing. I think the girls are just bragging like teen age girls and getting ready. When they do start laying, how can I get them to lay in the nice nesting boxes they have yet to step foot into?

I'm going as batty as you are with my BRs! They are 21 weeks today and 2 have started laying...it's gotten really hot...2 soft shell eggs...and then nothing

. However, one of my BR makes such a ruckus you'd think she was giving birth to a monstrous egg...then nothing

Right now Flossie is singing....go...not go...atleast running up there will give me steps on my Fitbit!
