Egg storage

Hmm, but what temp are you keeping them at? They are currently being stored in a bedroom which is 75-80 degrees, with higher spikes in there as well.
i could cold store mine in the barn, if it wasn't for the cats or whatnot getting to them.
They are stored on our kitchen counter. You can float test them. Just put them in a glass of water. If they sink..... eat them. If they float....... toss them.

People all over the world eat unrefrigerated eggs that are stored in warm temperatures. As long as they aren't washed they will be fine.

Really?! This I didn't know... even in hot weather... I did know about the test, but didn't think to employ it for this... Thanks, I will keep that in mind. :)
The tossing eggs, can they be cooked and fed back to the chickens?

What an interesting discussion! I wash and put mine in the fridge. I had no idea, learn something new all the time. What does washing do to the egg? Mine are only for eating at the moment, no roosters.

Washing with water only doesn't affect storage time. The washing that removes the protective coating is washing with bleach as is cone to commercially sold eggs.
