Egg Washing techniques and products/

We only have 6 girls and don't plan on selling them so we don't wash them. Are you planning on selling them? They are laid with a coating of bloom that keeps them fresh.

I just run hot water over them, let them sit for a minute or two to soften up any debris, wipe/dry them with a terry cloth rag, and put them in the cartons. That is for selling about 50 dozen a week, it takes some time, but I don't think it's excessive. The Incredible Egg Washer looks like it would take longer.

If you want to sanitize them after cleaning you can pour a 50-200 ppm bleach solution over them and let them air dry. I don't bother.
