Im good, how are you? Its just been a busy summer and quite the learning curve with the ducks. I have spent the summer re-vamping the pond and surrounding area, making a duck house that comes off of it and in general spoilin my little flock like crazy. 6 of my 7 girls are laying eggs everyday and I find myself popular with the neighbours who love their eggs. In a cruel twist of fate, I'm presenting a new intolerance for duck eggs. I'm so freakin mad about it. I didnt really just want pets, I was aiming for breakfast & dinner. I may have to switch to chickens.

Thanks everybody for the compliments on Miss Mako Mori. She's laid everyday, but the eggs are starting to get really small, like chicken size. I think she needs a vacation.

LadyIsadora - What does a duck egg intolerance look like? Ill? Rash? Not trying to be nosy, just curious.

I say intolerance because it doesn't always present the same. I've never had allergies so maybe that's what it is I wouldn't know. Sometimes I just feel sick like a flu day. The last time my tongue and throat felt scratchy and burn like. It was how I would imagine I would feel if I inhaled fiberglass insulation. So, that wasn't much fun. I'm taking a week off eating duck eggs. I traded a dozen with a friend that has chickens. I'll try again in a week.

YIKES! That sounds terrible -- Hopefully its just a weird fluke.
