I sometimes think Murphy's Law REALLY applies to incubating/hatching. If something CAN go wrong it WILL!!

I was going to sleep but cant now!!!!! I heard peeping from the incubator!!!!! I checked but no pips yet.

I didn't have any pips tonight, either. I thought I heard peeping earlier, but it's so hard to tell with a cabinet 'bator. I might have been hearing the chickies upstairs!
I did take the opportuntity to open the bator before I have any pips to set my new eggs.
I just set 13 project mille fleur cochins! YAY!!
I also took out my other trays to candle.
Tattoo: all 4 duck eggs are alive & kickin' - they look just about ready to hatch!
Cloverleaf: even though it's only the end of day 3, I see definite veining in 5 of the faverolles eggs ALREADY!
Once this last set of eggs gets here (I bought a "grab bag" of mixed pure breed eggs with some BLRW from Chickenzoo) I think I might really be able to stop setting.

Paganbird, we will have to compare chickies!!!

I am not sure which eggs the peeping was coming from, I can just see myself tonight, on the BYC, pace over to the incubator, back to the BYC, incubator....and so on.....

Mille fleur cochins???? Oooo....pretty.....cochins are one of my favorites, along with salmon faverolles and silkies....and...yeeps, too many others!!!

Yeah, I really seem to be getting a chance to hatch some of my wish-list breeds this time. I am super-excited about the BLRW.
I should be in bed. I have to get up at 5am for work. DH was at work, though, and I'm worried about him driving home in this weather. We got about another foot of snow today while he was working. Normally, he'd be home already.
I'm really tired. Tomorrow is going to suck.
