Eggs are moving! How much longer???

Umm... I would say they should be fine. As long as they aren't already in the process of hatching. Meaning that they haven't piped yet. The mother usually gets off the nest about 15-30 mins a day. (unless you have a crazy broody like me who gets off 2 times a week! Hehe :) ) so yes. I would say they should be fine. Good luck!

The first two weeks yes they will get up eat drink etc, but when it gets close to hatching time, they will not leave the nest. They will stay put until those babies are out..

Always give any babies that have hatched at least 24 hours to dry off or until all hatchings have hatched then 24 hours before removing them from the incubator. Keeping them in the incubator will inspire the rest to break out of jail/shell quicker. It ends up being a competition to them sort of speaking.

Thank you!

I warmed some water and put in in a bottle sealed in a ziploc bag. The temp stayed pretty steady during the drive. I have it settled at home now, and one that has hatched seems to be doing well. He's pecking at everything! :) The humidity is about 86%. Is that too high?

I appreciate your help so much!

Also, This one hatched on day 25. There are no other pips. Any idea as to why this one hatched early, or is it really early? A couple of the eggs have dark spots that look like stains on them. Is that a bad sign?

Thanks!

This is a thread I had started when first getting into call ducks, call ducks are known to be the hardest ducks to hatch. I think you will find some useful information on it,. Anything above 80 will kill the ducks, sounds crazy because you think water fowl they can handle it and believe me they can't... I know I have killed some because when first doing my research on them I read 80 to 90 on the humidiy this is sooooo false and inaccurate. But after 52 or 55 calls ducks this year I would say I have got there system down...

Please take a look...

Well, I am a nervous wreck, now.

The temp is off. I have three thermometers and they all read differently. The one that I have used through the process is reading way low. The "reference" one on the incubator was always 2-4 degrees higher than the one I had inside. I grabbed a little one that I have on my fridge and put it in there. It's reading 99-100, but I am not sure if I can trust any of them.

I don't have any other pips. I candled the remaining eggs, and saw movement in almost all of them. A couple of beaks were sticking through the air pocket. I hope I haven't killed them!

Should I move the hatched one out to the brooding box before the others pip?

I appreciate all of your help. I am reading through your post. It's very helpful, but it is making me nervous!

No leave him in there, if the temp is around 100 your ok. Get the humidity down though should be around 60 to 65 you can even go as high as 70 but I would not go any higher, when is the due date??

Day 28 is Tuesday. He is trying to drink the water droplets on the viewing panel. That's why I asked if I should move him.

The temp has finally regulated to 100. The humidity is down to 70%.
