The mallard left a messy, slimy yolk sack. There's a lot of it. He's a little sluggish, but responsive to my voice. He's tiny compared to the Pekin. Should I be concerned?
OK, definitely if he is NOT out by tomorrow, he will need some assistant, I will need pictures in order to do this so that I can direct you to the correct place in which to get him out. If it's easier on my cell I will pm you, just let me know.Another Pekin hatched from the time I was up at 2:00 because baby was squawking! One mallard has made a dime size whole but I can't hear any movement or peeps. At what point do I get concerned about him? Today is day 27.
