I am trying to incubate and no eggs are hatching its been about 22 days. I dont know how to candle to see if they are good. what should i do?

Get a flash light and turn out the lights. Hold the eggs in your hand with the fat side down and make a ring around the bottom so light can't escape between your hand and the eggs. Then shine the light through the bottom of the egg. If they are that far along it will be hard to see anything but an air cell at the bottom. However, you can tell for sure if nothing is in them.

My eggs are making baby chick noises!!! I guess I will be having baby chicks soon!!! How much longer after I stealer hearing them will they hatch?

12-24 hours sometimes longer.
Make sure your humidity is staying 65-70%

Good luck :-)

I don't have a humidifier I just have a thermometer. I didn't come with my incubator. Is that ok?

Not really- without the humidity gage you will have no idea if there is enough humidity to prevent the chick from shrink wrapping in the membranes after it pips.

How do u change the humidity if it's too high?

So you have no water in the incubator?
You add water to the incubator to increase humidity - it goes by coverage of water not depth. Sponges are great for adding coverage and so are wet wash cloths.

To release humidity you open the incubator quickly and shut it again - but I wouldn't do that without a gage first telling you how much humidity is in the incubator.

Walmart sells a temp/humidity monitor in the AC section (ask an employee) for $9 - it's digital and extremely accurate. Runs on batteries.
