Thank for staying up late to help me.I would not worry about shrink wrapping. you have the membrane off the chick, in the pic. just let it digest the veins, and your other chicks, should stay in shell. resting is good.
I clip it close to the shell and just let it dry out. I leave my chicks in the bator for 12+ hours.What do I do with umbilical cord... attached to shell and chick
Yes, there are a couple different layers of membrane.The white layer under the shell was paper like once I started to remove it because I had it out in the air but this seemed to be another membrane layer.
