Really?! My parents gladly eat eggs from our backyard hens. We had a BBQ on tge 4th of July and I made deviled quail eggs. They got gobbled up in minutes, and everybody could see my quail pen just 50ft away from the patio. Even neighbors enjoy our eggs. I have yet to meet somebody who doesn't cherish fresh eggs.My mom-in-law is adamantly refusing to eat at my house now and my sis-in-law is repulsed and "better not find out if I feed her a duck egg". I laugh it off but honestly...it angers me. Like, grow up already! I was so not raised closed-minded or picky. Guess who's getting lied to on Easter when they bite into that delish deviled BYC egg!
And if is because it's a duck egg rather than a chicken egg, tell them that bakers have cherished duck eggs for centuries. They are considered a hidden secret of great baking.
