Eggs for Sale Flyer

I just sell by word of mouth. I charge $3 a dozen... which is less than the store for free range eggs. A dozen of free range eggs at the store is $5 a dozen! Maybe I need to raise my prices again :p

You can go to Microsoft online and they have cute clipart with eggs and chickens. Microsoft Publisher is a great software to use for flyers.

Since your having probs getting clip I thought I would find ya a few pics...

As far as selling eggs.....right now..I get 1.00 a dozen for those who want to pay cash. Most of my customers I take them between 8 and 10 dozen a month, and they buy my chicken feed. Saves me gas and time...and I always have a supply of feed. Right now I am only getting about 5 dozen a week, and can not keep up with the demand...but my other ladies are about 17 or 18 weeks old, and I am just starting to get pullet eggs. So....soon....between 2 and 3 dozen a day. Then...it starts!! Oh, and I haev everyone save me thier egg cartons....they get one dozen eggs, for every 5 empties. Works for me...works for them. When I get more eggs...I will paint a sign for the front yard...

Farm fresh MULTI COLORED eggs. ( I will have 6 or 7 colors in my dozens...I hope)

I was going to design a flyer and put it in my nearest neighbors mailboxes.

I'm not sure of the legality of putting things in US mail boxes, so if your neighborhood isn't exactly tight-knit, you might want to be a bit careful about doing that.

You might be better off posting signs on bulletin boards, light poles, etc... Even taping the flyer to the exterior of the mailbox would be a safer bet, especially since you will presumably be putting your name and phone number on it.

Great point!

last week I saw a beat up looking mail jeep going up our street from mail box to mail box. Looked really suspicious so i went out with the camera. Someone was putting landscaping business cards on each mailbox but they were using an old white painted over mail-truck to do it. I took some snaps of the license plate just in case.

Also, about price, I pay $2 a dozen if I buy a single dozen, but if I go on the "Egg Plan" I can give my friend a chunk of money and get them for $1.75 each. Whenever I need a dozen, I just call her up and she delivers. But I'm less than 1/4 mile from her. She also sells at work, and at her husband's work, and is raising more hens to keep up with business.

She does a drive-by and puts them in the mailbox, and I pay her in her mailbox, but we have that arrangement. I did feel funny the first time I opened her box...I made sure to write her first name and "egg money" on it just so that the mail lady didn't wonder.

I have three chicks right now, but will probably still supplement with her eggs when needed.
