Eggs from single female?

Can a female Emu or Rhea be raised for egg production? With no male.

I only raise chickens, but I believe the same rule goes for all birds, all females for that matter: No, the male has nothing to do with egg production, only fertilization.

you do realize that a female emu only lays a single egg every three days or so, usually beginning in November-December and ending in March...?

They really don't lay much at all without a male around, some will never lay without a male so for egg production I think not a good idea .
