I am still pretty new to this chicken thing, and have never had any light sussex. People always say they are so sweet- what are yours crossed with, do you know?
 
im considering trying light sussex next i got the hatching bug not good

You are going into fall and winter- HA!!! All I can say is thank heaven I am OUT of it and into spring! I find that interesting that the cross might be with a barnie, but shouldn't you have gotten a darker bird? I don't know squat about chicken genetics however, so maybe not. . . . .

Rwoman, I will file that info away for next year, when I allow myself another breed.
