I apologize for not doing any research. I have hens that love to hatch eggs, but in the past I have always taken the hatched chicks and raised them on my own. This time I really want to let nature run its course. My question is: What should I do as far as nature is concerned? I have introduced water and a good water source for the new chicks, but I am concerned with food. Will the hen feed the chicks or do I need to provide food just as I would if I removed the chick? There is obviously food withen my coop, but the food isnt withen reach of the new chicks. Any info from your experience would be great.
