Eggs in incubator day 19

I keep them in with hardware cloth lay it over they have never come out that way.
Yeah I had a cover similar to hardware cloth for my last set of chicks. These ones seem to be getting crazy younger than their parents. I let them out on my bathroom floor and they just exploded into running, jumping, trying to fly... Barely just hitting a week old.

The new big box... also the chicks like resting on their heat lamp now too

Oh my gosh they are all so cute. That new box is looking good too. I have a hen that has gone broody now. The mother hen of my brother and sister I posted. Now maybe I will have more chicks in 21 days. She gave me the dinosaur growl and fluffed up.

Eek yes she doesn't look happy to have you peeping.... and could well be more chicks coming soon. Fun but busy. I'd love to keep more but have to accept my limits!! We're definitely no homestead here and don't have the acres I dream off 😄😄😴 I still have the whole integration of my new little bunch with my older hens to figure out... these are my older hens, 3 copper marans, 2 cream legbars and 1 lavender aracuna bantam (who is 😈 do not be deceived by how peaceful she looks in this picture!! 😅)

Those are beautiful chickens you have!! I feel your pain. I don't have lots of land either. I'm in the city and I have to watch my limits too. Thankfully I have neighbors with chickens and they have friends with chickens too.

First time on real grass today. And the big hens came and had a peek at them but the big hens act terrified and go and run in the bushes making a racket when they see them. Only some meal worms could tempt them close!!
