Eggs in incubator day 19

First time on real grass today. And the big hens came and had a peek at them but the big hens act terrified and go and run in the bushes making a racket when they see them. Only some meal worms could tempt them close!!
Ohh that is so cute. I want to put mine on grass but I need the heatwave to pass. It's entirely too hot. I'm in Florida. It's been low to mid 90s. F not C. My broody looks rough already. I tried to get her to eat and drink today but she was angry and refused.

I have 8 growing up in my little coop took then out there maybe 3 weeks ago ? First I had done that Have 4 more in the spare room.
I lost that many this last year. :frow

Finally another dry day! Chicks are having another turn outside, this time in their integration run. Looking forward to the being outside more tbh. They love it and always try and fly out of their box inside. So far it looks like only 1 frizzle out of the possible 9 that hatched. They're all so cute though 😍 hoping for lots of hens 😄🤞 they love sitting in the sun. My legbars come and peer at them but the copper marans and my bantam are always terrified of them. They take one look and run and hide in the bushes!
Feathers are coming at very different rates, I'm not sure how long till they can come outside for always 🤔🪹

Oh gosh they are so cute. So funny that your big birds are afraid of them. My broody has eaten one of her eggs so I have one less possible hatch. Nothing but heat and rain here so my chicks are still inside. Absolutely nasty weather we are having here. I would love to sit in the sun like your Chickies but I would burn to a crisp in 5 minutes.

Shame about the broody... hopefully the rest are ok. Just really enjoying the sun and thankfully temperature is fine too atm. Hopefully gets better for you

Frizzle and big foot 😅😅 I'm going to really have to think about the outside run for these super fluffy feeted chicks!

Banty right marans have feathered feet also they can go as others do.
My incubator is on lock down now!
I've been reading shadrachs allotment thread... I have over 1000 pages to go still 😒
But I've seen many of your bantam posts and pictures on there 😊
At what age dyt I should move my chicks outside for always?
Atb with the incubating 🤞🤞♥️

I do keep Banty in the brooder like 2 months so 4 to 6 weeks.
Their coop is really secure only one with a floor.
Windows one in each room, higher than them.
2 small fans also higher than them.
They get carried to their tractor.
I also know and appreciate Shadrach's thoughts cannot follow every thread so stop in time to time.

Yes that's interesting. I'll be keeping my chicks inside for a few more weeks I think and just do little trips outside from time to time. They are next to a window so they get to see outside and I'll cut the side of their box of so my big hens can see them more too.
