Eggs left out in the open

Anyone have explaination for why my leghorn hen is laying her eggs out in the open. She laid one right in front of the water dispenser the other day and today she laid one on top of large bolder in the run

Is she a new layer? Any possibility flock mates are bullying her away from the nest boxes?

I have four nesting boxes, and the fourth is in a completely separate coop. She has been laying for at least 4 months

Has she ever laid in the nest boxes?

She has always laid in the nest. This has now happened several times over the last few weeks

I had this happen sometimes when I brought some treats and the flock got so excited that a hen came running to join in straight from the nest box where she was about to lay her egg. And so she "lost" it in the struggle to participate in snatching some of the treats.

She has always laid in the nesting boxes. This is something that has just started happening within the last several weeks.

I have one that does that on occasion. 4 nest boxes but they have to only use one. If someone's laying and takes too long she'll just drop it on the coop floor, in the run or on the poop board.

Have any other birds more recently come into lay and possibly bullied her from the nests?
