Eggs!! oops....

Hello,
So i bought a pair of IB split Pieds and i was told that they were only a year so i couldnt expect to breed them till next year. Great thought I, i wont have to deal or prepare for this. Well now i have two eggs in the pen. How long should i wait for her to finish the clutch? Should i gather the eggs? Is it possible they are older (the male has no train)? Are they worth trying to incubate? Thanks!! As i said i thought i had all winter to prepare for this. Oops..

I have 4 peahens that are laying right now and they are just turning a year old in a week and my male is the same age and mating, you can try to hatch them , i dought the hen will try this year plus i would not put a hen threw that if there was little chance of them hatching.
I am putting mine in the incubator tonight just to see if there is a chance they are fertile.

I'd toss them in the incubator unless you have other grand plans for them. There's always someone looking for chicks if you don't want to keep them!

I wish there were people looking for chicks around here...they are selling here for $10 all over Craigslist. Mine went to the auction and I actually ended up getting $11 each...it was a black-shouldered and an IB...couple months old. The girl was carrying them around afterwards and I spoke to her. She was so happy to have a "white" peacock but I did correct her and say it is not a white. She was still excited anyways, even with the big brown nasty poop she had on her shirt

From what I understand, some areas of florida have peafowl that are nearly pests! I think if you were NPIP certified, that you could ship them... don't know how much of a hassle shipping birds is though, since I've only done eggs.
