Yeah I know I need to get rid of a few roos. My plan is to have 15 hens and my 3 roos. Is that still too many roos? My hen is such a good hen, loves to be held, bathed, she's so friendly and has a great personality. She started laying eggs around the beginning of March and missed 3 days only. I have another 10 eggs of hers ready for the bator.

Hatch rate is usually around 50/50 with a slight deviation... Yes. 15 to 3 is still too much

1 egg just hatched. My first chick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The chick is kicking all the other eggs around, That should be fine right?

Yeah, they will play kick ball with the two that hatch last... It encourages the others to hatch, so just wait out! Congrats !!

Such an active little chick. Climbing on everything. I'm so glad I decided to put a wire mesh over the water tray if I didn't I'm pretty sure it would of drown already.

we use egg carton method of hatching, keep eggs in place, no chick soccer.
