Can a male Orpington (buff) duff and a female pekin have ducklings? My pekin is laying now and I was curious.

Yes, they can They are the same species, so them mating and having offspring is totally possible.

In fact, even muscovies, which are a different species, can have offspring with all the mallard derived breeds. Those offspring are sterile, however.
