Eggs

I candled my eggs early this morning and 11 of the 12 were developing. The 12th had a small hairline crack in it that I didn't see until I candled them, but thats pretty good 11 of 12 for shipped eggs.

Ok well I dont candle my eggs so im not sure how many are making but ive been haveing some problems with the temputure and the humidity. Hopefully its a good hatch I think they should hatch on Wendsday correct me if im wrong..

Thanks,
RIRss

WOW!!!

I just set about 100 eggs again for my second week of incubating. My hens started laying about three weeks ago but the freaking snow storms won't leave us alone. We had a storm that dumped 18" of snow two weeks ago, snow and sleet all of last weekend, and now expecting another 6-10" Tue-Wed.

I don't know who made Mother Nature mad this year but she is sure taking it out on everyone here. Temps are to be up in the 50's by Saturday. Yay????
At this rate, the fruit trees might blossom sometime in June. I know that the persons yelling " Global Warming" probably never wintered over in WI.

34-35 eggs per week from 3 ringneck hens. Incubate a week's worth, sell a week's worth, incubate, sell, incubate, sell, and so on. 100-200 birds is my goal. Big pen starts going up in two weeks.
