Electric blankets... anyone use them?

One night I woke up and pushed the blanket back to get out of bed and it rubbed across itself causing sparks,, you know, harmless static electricity? Well silly me being half asleep and all grabbed my glass of water off the nightstand and threw it on the bed. Drenched two cats and a chihuahua, and my bed.....,,

ETA: Ok, I Googled it, these electric mattress pads DO exist! I just informed the DH I won't be requiring his services anymore. All I really needed him for was keeping my paws warm at night.

oh yes. We have had it for about 9 years now. Never have had a wood stove, but my guess is... this is MUCH easier! I fill it once a day.
Clean it every few days... sometimes it can go longer... No mess from wood stacked in the house.

Sounds awesome...esp that part about no stacking wood(which means no cutting wood), no mess, oh and only filling it ONCE a day??!!! much easier than the woodstove.

our hopper holds 55 pounds of Pellets. Stoves with smaller hoppers are cheaper, but you have to fill them more. I am happy with our choice. It is by Envirofire.

We have this one.. the EF3

my neighbors have a fancy pellet stove,(looks like a potbelly wood stove) that doesn't work all that great. In the beginning, they had nothing but issues with it. I would only suggest a plain and simple one, like ours!

sorry for being off topic....

We have the dual control too and it's great I keep mine on #2. We've had ours going on 3 years now. It also has a timer it shuts off when we get up in the morning so I don't have to worry about turning it off.
