Electric Poultry Fencing Recommendations

If you haven't placed your order yet, check out the PoultryNet Plus. The posts are closer together making it really easy to move and it eliminates the sagging issues of the original.

If you are planning on letting the birds free range, make sure when they are first out inside the fence to not keep it off as they can slip through the small holes up until about 4 weeks.

We were going to purchase Premier's Poultry Net Plus, but it's out of stock till the end of the month so we're looking at Kencove. Is anyone using Kencove's 10⁄40⁄3.5 fencing? I'm wondering how it compares to Premier. Thanks for any comments!

Well, I have to take issue with the Premier elec. fencing for poultry. It was the worst, costly expenditure we have made yet in our attempts to get into the chicken business. Our Texas soil is very hard-pan and the posts were nearly impossible to force into the ground except after a rain. We had to use a hammer. We never could keep it from sagging, therefore shorting out the charge all the time. Our chickens never had any problem going under or over it.

A complete waste of money and time, in my opinion.

PM me if you are interested in selling your fence.
I have had to modify mine with other posts, I rely on my Premier fencing,
and do agree that the original single spike posts are difficult on hard soil.
I can say that I have fencing that is 6 years old and it shows little signs of wear.
