**Electric skillet method-*Open for further questions-starting page 26

Hey Farmer Kitty

This is spiritualmystic. I had to change my name because I kept having a problem getting in with my name and password. So now I am ChickNLittle. Tehe! I was reading your post and you said the "warm" temp raised it too high. That happens sometimes. What I usually had to do was the same thing you did. Because each toaster oven, electric skillet and even incubator has erratic temperatures sometimes. Best bet: heat it up 24 hours before putting the eggs in. That way you can watch the temp for 24 hours to get it regulated first.

Good Luck! Any questions, let me know.

Ok, I added the towel and a wet cloth which the temp dropped just a bit. I did that because my humidity went from 61% down to 54%, even though I have a small cup of water in there. I am now waiting for it to sabilize again and I hope the humidity increases after the moisture I just added.

I went to carton the eggs and I can only fit 12 (A carton cut in half) and no room left for my other two!

I guess I am going to give them a lukewarm dip and hope that helps them through the last few days in the regular incubator.

Oh well I will pray for the best and I am anxious to get the eggs in the skillet!

one more thing kitty. I have two incubators and as soon as this last batch hatches, I am going to be selling my Little Giant 9200 for $35.00 plus postage. It will be disinfected first of course. It works great but I like my hovabator a lot better.

If you are interested let me know.

I do take Paypal. I also have some eggs for sale. Leghorns x barred rock mixed. $10.00 a dozen. $12.00 postage.

I hope this works

If you can see it, its foggy because I raised the humidity too high. Still adjusting.

championny- When you add the towel it will take a while for the temps to come back up. I'm still watching mine and it is still low. I should have thought and thrown it in the microwave first to preheat it! Oh well, I don't want to reopen things again.

ChickNLittle-I was wondering where you were! Bator has been running all week. Temps settled a couple days ago. I'm not interested in the bator or the eggs-Please don't turn this thread into one to sell them.

You have a long way to come and it's cold and rainy here. Plus with all the eggs you have in the bator right now, I'm not worried.

Yeah, thats what I thought. It's up to 99.3 and climbing. The humidity though is off the chart at 88%. Even though I removed the water cloth. I am going to be working hard all night to get the humidity in check so I can add the eggs. Everything is set to go and I am ready to get this show on the road!

I'll let you know once I stabilize it and get it ready. I am still working on my picture adding though. I am new to doing it so i may have it a few more times like the first one.
