Electricity usage

I got an email from the electricity company asking for a meter reading, if you don't you get an estimated bill. So my pet sitter got me the reading and emailed it to me. It turns out that I have paid the last quarters bill (I get a set amount taken out by direct debit every month) I am still over two hundred pounds in credit, I will have to sort that out when I get home the bill for a phone call would be expensive to call from Florida. What staggered me is what I found when I saw the energy tracker, it shows how much energy you use in the hous compared with the previous year. Now last year it was me and my mother this year it's just me and I haven't changed my energy usage but according to the electricity company my power usage has dropped by 66%! What my mother was doing to use that much I don't know but it explains why the direct debit for the energy firm is being dropped from £135 to £61!

Perhaps your mum turned the heating up higher. They say a couple of degrees can make a big difference. How brilliant to get a reduction.
