ELI5 Why do so many ppl treat chickens expendable??

And what’s the general consensus about sneaking a bird into someone else’s flock nearby? lol kidding mostly
500% irresponsible. If someone snuck a bird into my flock I'd file criminal charges and send their bird back to them. Plus I'd hold them liable for any illnesses or injuries caused by their bird. Never do that. EVER. Someone lost their whole flock from someone else sneaking a rooster into their flock. At that point it's better to just cull the bird rather than cause someone else grief

Wait! You mean ppl actually do this?? As in seriously?
 

For the most part. They are all individuals, but they're some of my friendlier birds. One serama mix I have had never been touched by a human the first 7, maybe more months of her life, and she's warming up to me. That must be genetic, at least to a degree
