I read somewhere that store eggs are on average two months old before they’re bought. That doesn’t scream appealing to me.Interesting. That would be a very good reason to avoid store eggs and use home-raised fresh ones!
Now I start to wonder if it is how old the eggs are, or something about the way they are stored, or what the chickens are fed... but I'm pretty sure my curiosity is not worth you getting a bunch of stomach aches testing things!
