Ellie's Flock!

Flock update:
Gonna try to do this every other day. Yay. Anyways, I've noticed Cinnamon, a four-year-old Cinnamon queen hasn't been feeling well, so I've fed her my "go away random illness" remedy of apple cider vinegar and olive oil with yogurt and some sunflower seeds. She gobbled it up nicely, so I'm thinking it's just a molting weather thing. Gonna keep an eye on her, though, I find Cinnamon Queens get sick every other month from sour or impacted crop. Cinnamon has only been sick once or twice, both I don't remember to be that serious.

QOTD (Question of the Day): How is your experience with Cinnamon Queens?

AOTD: I gotta love the bird itself, but I have to say I dislike the breed of Cinnamon Queens, they got the RIR's "gotta eat 'em all" trait sort of thing, and get sour crop every other month.:barnie

Hi yall! Okay, well here we had NO fall at all! So we are literally going from summer to winter TOMORROW!! And next week we are gonna have freezing temps during the night... so, I need some advice for what to do for my gals in the cold? P&T!
Is your coop insulated? (Doesn't need to be) And has everyone molted? If so, I think you'll be fine. They have a nice down winter "jacket" on, so I think they'll be fine. Chickens are fine up here well into the 10*F in the night.
