Embarassing rooster question...

If you'll catch the chicken for the roo when he's chasing her you won't have to run around the yard diving down trying to get a look at it.

What about when a hen squats for you (the human)? I always feel like I should do something for the poor girl. Thankfully, they are usually satisfied with a pat on the back. Sometimes when I hold a hen and then sit her down, she'll fluff all her feathers the same way she does after a mating. Things that make you go hmmmm....................

Okay I just read through this whole thing and normally I would just giggle and move on but this is just too funny so I must say honesty can sometimes be just down right hilarious! Thank you so much for the giggles.

To the original poster~ There is nothing wrong with asking and you are very lucky because most of us would have just lived on without ever knowing because we were too embarrassed to ask.

Futhermore... A hen may reject a suitor by rejecting his specimen.. Such may be the case in the young and inexperienced suitor in question. That brings up a host of questions such as... Since she can decide to reject can she decide to fertilize each one at her discretion.. or is is a fly by night chance thing.. (roulette). What happens to unused specimens. etc...

My husband says "This post useless without pics!"

When I was a kid my mom approached the president of the Turtle and Tortoise Society to tell him about her poor tortoise having her insides falling out of her..

I can still see my red-faced mom when the man told her "Ma'am, she is a he and he is just sowing his oats." Of course, I had to ask mom what THAT meant!

My fav kind of post. Educational and Hilarious!!! Yes, eventually he will get it right with the hens. Nothin like young and dumb.

I have a young rooster that mates with anything rounded. My dog likes to carry his food bowl around and Dude ( my little roo ) loves to find it over turned.
