Anybody tried to detect sound of beating heart in hatching egg? That would be great alternative method to candling. I was never able to candle brown shelled eggs, also candling requires some skills and experience, to me it's kind of a hassle anyway. There is a device to check hatching eggs on the market doing just that, but it is very pricey. I wonder if a sensitive mike hooked to audio amp would detect the sound of beating heart in the developing egg. I am going to try something like this whith my next hatch.
