Emergency! Any One Located Near The Central Coast Of California

I was casually scanning through my Email when I found an ad through freecycle for a free hen. Someone dumped this hen in a field near the OP's house and she took her in for the moment. I can't take her the pen is not built all I have is a rabbit hutch. Any one interested in a black hen that need's a lucky break? It's good karma.

I USED to live in Monterey County and would have been willing to make that drive if I still lived there....

My best friend lives in Paso Robles but is disabled and can't raise chickens (I tried to talk her into it). Her next door neighbor has two chickens.... I'll call her tonight to see if she can get her neighbor interested in checking freecycle.
